OffTheSled Catching News Buzz

MORRISTOWN, N.J., Feb. 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Founders of strategic marketing agency 8fold, Jennifer LoBianco and Brad Leszczynski, who are athletes and avid fans of anything sports related, have just launched Off The Sled, a website that provides a unique look at talented and dedicated bobsled and skeleton athletes… candidly, off their sleds.

“Brad and I love the Olympics and after a trip to Lake Placid this past December we saw the magnitude of it in these athletes’ world,” said Jennifer, who also wrote about her experience on their marketing agency’s 8fold blog.

Why Bobsled and Skeleton?
Despite the charming cow bells, lightning speed and electric atmosphere surrounding the two sports, they don’t get a lot of attention or airtime, but these athletes are just as dedicated to reaching the pinnacle of their sport. They come from all over and unite as one to represent our country, and 8fold wanted to shine the light on their sacrifices and dreams.

“The teams aren’t paying us to do this,” added Jennifer, “we just wanted to showcase them off the sled so people can learn about them and maybe support them.”

Who are the team members?
Unlike other Olympic teams, the members of these teams haven’t all grown up living and breathing their respective sports. For every ex-collegiate football player, track star and weight lifter, there’s a mom, army reservist and a whole lot of adrenaline junkies, just like Morgan Tracey, the 33-year-old lawyer from Champion, Ohio who is on the Skelton Development Team or take National Women’s Bobsledder Jazmine Fenlator who is from Wayne, New Jersey. And here’s another little known fact, Olympic Hurdler Lolo Jones is also on the Olympic Women’s Bobsled team.

What’s new on Off The Sled?
Everything! Designed to show off the personal and fun side of the team members, Off The Sled will share candid photos and videos, and follow the social conversations from Twitter and YouTube of these athletes. For example, you’ll be introduced to Your Daly Nitro, a vlog created by Olympic Bobsledder Steve Langton and Skeleton Olympian John Daly, who reveal their smart and funny personalities on YouTube.
